Senior Medical Writer—Infectious Diseases
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports To: Scientific Director
Department: Scientific Services
Position Summary:
The Senior Medical Writer will be involved in developing strategy for pharmaceutical brands' medical communications plans as well as implementing individual tactics.
Position Requirements:
The ideal Senior Medical Writer will have an advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, MD, or PharmD) and a mandatory minimum of 3 years of professional medical writing experience with a communications agency. Must have strong scientific or research background in HIV.
Position Responsibilities:
Create publication plans. Conduct literature searches. Interpret data from clinical trials. Write manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and sales support materials (eg, clinical monographs). Develop review article manuscripts. Create content for medical slide sets. Interact with physician thought leaders. Conduct peer reviews and mentor other writers. Extensive knowledge of regulations relevant to medical communications is a must. We seek a detail-oriented writer who can meet multiple concurrent deadlines.
